It is our great pleasure to announce the National Symposium on Zoonoses Research which will take place from 19-20 September 2013 in Berlin, Germany. Building on last year’s success with over 350 participants the symposium will once again bring together students and professionals from different zoonoses research areas. Whatever your zoonoses research area is – bacteriology, virology, parasitology, epidemiology or diagnostics – the symposium will provide scientific input for all disciplines involved in zoonoses prevention, control and treatment.
The conference language is English.
Topics of this year’s symposium:
• Antimicrobial use and resistance
• Epidemiology, modelling and risk assessment
• Innate and adaptive immune response
• New and re-emerging zoonoses
• Novel methods and diagnostics
• Pathogen-cell interaction
• Free topics
Malcolm Bennett l Liverpool, England
Dag Harmsen l Münster, Germany
Noël Tordo l Paris, France
Harald zur Hausen l Heidelberg, Germany
This very interesting programme is committed to promote exchange of new research ideas as well as inter-disciplinary research between human and veterinary medicine. We invite you to submit your abstract online related to one of the symposium topics or other relevant fields of zoonoses research. The abstracts are going to be published in the conference volume 2013.
The abstract submission is closed.
In particular, we encourage young scientists to participate in this symposium. We have arranged space and time slots for poster presentations to discuss your research results with the experts. To highlight career paths and encourage professional development we offer a career breakfast for graduate students and young professionals on Friday, 20th September.
